The science

What Are Peptides?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids. Some occur naturally and act as signals within the body. Peptide medicines can interact with specific biological pathways, but their effects depend on the individual compound, formulation, and intended use. Your provider can explain the evidence, potential benefits, and risks of each option.

Metabolic & body composition support

  • GLP-1 Treatment

Certain approved medicines help eligible patients manage weight alongside nutrition and activity. Your provider will review options and risks.

  • AOD-9604

Investigational peptide. Weight-loss benefits are not established.

  • CJC / Ipamorelin

Investigational combination. Benefits and long-term safety remain uncertain.

Frequently asked questions

Peptides at Omni

Are peptides safe?

Safety depends on the specific medicine, formulation, route, and your health history. Some peptide medicines are FDA-approved for particular conditions; many other peptides have limited human safety data. Compounded medicines are not FDA-approved. Your clinician will discuss known risks, uncertainties, and alternatives before recommending care.

How do I know which peptides are right for me?

Start with a consultation. Your provider will review your goals, medical conditions, medications, supplements, and any relevant test results. Together, you can discuss whether there is an evidence-based option for your needs. A consultation does not guarantee that a peptide will be prescribed.

How are peptides administered?

The route depends on the specific medicine and formulation. Some approved peptide medicines are injected under the skin, while others have different formulations. If treatment is prescribed, your care team will explain the exact route, storage, and safe use. Do not assume that different formulations can be used interchangeably.

How long does it take to see results?

There is no single timeline for peptide treatment. Effects depend on the medicine, the condition being treated, and your individual response. Some changes are evaluated over weeks or months; benefits for many investigational peptides have not been established. Your provider will explain what can reasonably be monitored and when to reassess treatment.

Can peptides be combined?

Combining treatments requires a clinician’s review of the evidence, interactions, and potential side effects. A blend is not automatically more effective or safer than its individual ingredients, and many peptide combinations have not been adequately studied. Do not mix products or change a prescribed plan on your own.

Do I need lab work?

Not everyone needs the same tests. Your provider may recommend baseline or follow-up testing based on your history, symptoms, and the medicine under consideration. For example, certain growth hormone-related treatments require monitoring of glucose and IGF-1. Your care team will explain which tests are relevant and why.
